MTC Card is a combination of a public transport commuter pass and a mileage system, with up to 30% discount on public transportation fares. It has been introduced to ease the burden of transport cost for regular commuters, who use public transport to go to work or school. It also promotes an eco-friendly usage of transport through encouraging people to walk, use of public transportation and ride bicycles.
