[축사] 오만 53주년 국경일 기념 행사
여러분, 반갑습니다.
대한민국 국토교통부 제1차관 김오진입니다.
존경하는 자카리아 알 사아디(Al-Saadi) 대사님,
함께 해주신 여러 대사님과 내외 귀빈 여러분,
오만의 53주년 국경일을
진심으로 축하드립니다.
오만의 뜻깊은 국경일을 맞아
대한민국 정부와 국민을 대표해
축하의 말씀을 전하게 되어
매우 기쁘고 영광스럽게 생각합니다.
대한민국과 오만은
1974년 수교를 맺은 이래
경제, 문화, 에너지 분야를 비롯한
폭넓은 분야에서
50년 가까이 긴밀한 협력관계를
구축해왔습니다.
특히, 오만 정부가 추진 중인
‘비전 2040’ 프로그램은
아라비아해와 인도양을 잇는
오만의 지리적 장점을 살려
산업의 다각화와
선진국 도약을 목표로 한
국가 프로젝트입니다.
한국 정부 역시,
도시계획과 스마트시티,
모빌리티 혁신을 추진하며
미래를 위한 준비에
박차를 가하고 있습니다.
한국이 가진 다양한 노하우와
기업들의 우수한 기술은
오만의 비전 2040의 성공에
큰 도움이 될 것이라
확신합니다.
이미 지난 2018년,
우리부와 오만 두큼경제특구청이
스마트시티 분야 협력을 위한
업무협약을 맺으며
양국의 협력의지를 다졌습니다.
오만의 변화와 혁신 의지가 담긴
‘비전 2040’프로젝트가
성공적인 미래로 나아가도록
대한민국과 한국 기업들이
최고의 파트너가 되기를 희망합니다.

I’m Kim Oh Jin,
the Vice Minister for Land and
Infrastructure of Korea.
Honorable Ambassador
Zakariya Al-Saadi,
Excellencies and distinguished guests,
I’d like to extend my best wishes
to the Omani people on their 53rd
National Day.
I’m deeply honored to represent
the Korean government and people
in celebrating this significant day.
Korea and Oman established
diplomatic relations in 1974.
For almost 50 years,
we have worked very closely
in various fields including economy, culture and energy.
In particular, we note that
the Omani government
is pursuing “Oman Vision 2040”
This is an ambitious plan utilizing Oman’s geographical advantage that connects the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean.
Korea strongly supports
Oman’s national project that aims to
diversify key industries and
transition into an advanced economy.
The Korean government is also
making all-out efforts
to prepare for the future.
Korea is revolutionizing mobility,
while implementing the elements of
smart cities in our urban planning.
I firmly believe that Korean companies’ diverse technology and expertise
will greatly contribute to Oman’s
realization of Vision 2040.
It is promising that our ministry and the Special Economic Zone Authority of Duqm already signed an MOU
in 2018 for cooperation on smart cities.
I hope that the Korean government
and companies will serve as Oman’s
best partners as it moves toward
a more prosperous future.

my sincere congratulations.
I hope that Oman and Korea
will maintain our enduring friendship and partnership in our journey toward mutual growth and prosperity.
