Vice Minister BACK Won-kug of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT, Minister PARK Sang-woo) visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Morocco on 9-11 October to discuss ways to strengthen cooperation in the railway sector.

Amid bilateral exchanges between Korea and the UAE have been actively ongoing since the visit by Minister Park Sang-woo to the UAE last February, this visit was made by the invitation of the UAE side to attend an international railway conference, Global Rail 2024, held from 8 to 10 October in Abu Dhabi hosted by Etihad Rail.

On 11 October, MOLIT’s Vice Minister Baek met with Moroccan Minister of Transport and Logistics Mohammed Abdeljalil and Director General of the Moroccan National Railways Office Mohamed Rabie Khlie to reinforce mutual cooperation while appealing for Korean companies to take part in related projects in the country.
