The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT; Minister KIM Yun-duk) is hosting the Global Infrastructure Cooperation
Conference (GICC) 2026, Korea’s largest infrastructure diplomacy and business networking event, from September 15 to 17 in Seoul.
Since its launch in 2013, GICC has served as a key platform for promoting cooperation in infrastructure development among governments,
major overseas project owners, multilateral development banks (MDBs), and construction and engineering companies, while supporting
Korean companies seeking to expand into international markets.
Over the past 13 editions, representatives from 590 organizations in 90 countries have participated, contributing to cooperation on
approximately 450 international infrastructure projects.
Marking its 14th edition this year, GICC 2026 will bring together senior government officials, including ministers and vice ministers, as well as CEOs and other key figures from 32 countries, along with representatives of public institutions and construction and engineering companies from Korea and abroad.
Under the overarching theme “Global Infrastructure Cooperation through AI,” this year’s conference will explore how AI is reshaping the
future of construction and transport infrastructure in response to rapidly changing global trends.
In particular, GICC 2026 will be held in conjunction with the first Korea-Central Asia Summit, providing an opportunity to deepen discussions with key Central Asian countries on cooperation in transport and infrastructure, while signing memorandums of understanding (MOUs)
aimed at generating tangible follow-up projects in areas including development of land, urban, and transport sectors.
