Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT, Minister WON Hee-ryong) announced that the National Smart City Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Committee)* was held in Seoul on the afternoon of October 6th, confirming the "Improvement Plan for K-City Network (Support Project for Overseas Smart City)", and reviewing/approving 5 new smart demonstration projects, including 4 support projects for regulatory sandbox of regionally-led smart city.
The K-City network project has been promoted since 2020 to support the overseas expansion of domestic smart city models, and has supported a total of 41 projects in 23 countries over the past 4 years, including establishing urban development plans and overseas demonstration of solutions.
