MOLIT attended the Minister’s Roundtable at the International Transport Forum (ITF)* 2024 held in Leipzig, Germany for two days from 22 May with the topics of Transport and Climate Change: Moving Forward From COP28 and Inclusive Transport: Ensuring Access for All.
* It is a transportation policy consultative group with 66 member countries (as of May 2024) including Korea, and holds the ministerial meeting in Leipzig every May.
Through this meeting, there were close exchanges with the international communities on global issues such as actions for climate change and supports for Ukraine's reconstruction.
On the other hand, the Vice Minister Baek of the MOLIT also met with the Minister of Transport Martin Kupka of the Czech Republic to actively solicit for winning the Czech high-speed rail project, and also discussed ways to cooperate in the aviation sector between the two countries.
