The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT, Minister PARK Sang-woo) will be attending the ‘15th ASEAN-Republic of Korea
(ROK) Transport Cooperation Forum’ at 9:00 AM (local time, KST 10:00 AM) on 22 November in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to discuss ways for
transportation cooperation with the 10 ASEAN member states* while promoting various support measures for Korean companies to widen
their overseas contracts.
The ‘ASEAN-ROK Transport Cooperation Forum’ has been held annually since its launch in 2009 following the Joint Statement of the ASEAN-ROK Commemorative Summit in Jeju, Korea serving as a platform for Korea and the 10 ASEAN member countries to share cooperation
measures in transportation sector.
At this year’s forum, MOLIT Minister Park is going to adopt a Joint Statement of the ASEAN-ROK on Transport Cooperation with the Co-Chair, Malaysian Minister of Transport, Loke Siew Fook and to share an establishment plan for the 'ASEAN-ROK Transport Cooperation Roadmap* (2026-2030)' with the ASEAN transport ministers.
