MOLIT initiated its aid for a Computer-Based Testing (CBT) of Personnel Licensing in Papua New Guinea for the first time among the

countries from the Pacific Islands


The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT, Minister PARK Sang-woo) had an online meeting for the MOU ceremony on the aid to provide software for the CBT of Personnel licensing to Papua New Guinea on 16 July at Government Complex Sejong in South Korea and

Papua New Guinea simultaneously headed by Director General YOO Kyeong-soo from the MOLIT and Chief Executive Officer/Director

Benedict Igo Oraka from the Civil Aviation Safety Authority of Papua New Guinea.


This MOU was initiated in response to a request from Papua New Guinea during a visit to the country in February 2023 in accordance with its earlier asking at the ICAO’s 57th Conference of Directors General of Civil Aviation, Asia and Pacific Regions, in July 2022, Incheon, Rep. of

Korea, for support in preparing for the Universal Safety Oversight Audit Program (USOAP).
