The National Geographic Information Institute (NGII, Director General CHO Woo-seok) of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT, Minister WON Hee-ryong) announced that it would publish* the revised Korean and English versions of ‘The National Atlas of Korea for Youth’ (hereinafter referred to as the National Atlas) and distribute them from June 1st.
* This publication is the first revision since the first publication of the National Atlas for Youth in 2017.
The National Atlas has secured the quality suitable for the status of national records by utilizing techniques for producing digital map and infographic based on the latest statistics to effectively deliver accurate national land information in domestic and overseas educational fields.
The National Atlas is scheduled to be sequentially distributed to around 1,000 institutions, including major domestic and foreign public institutions, libraries, international organizations, as well as diplomatic missions abroad, and could be used as an official material to effectively publicize Korea to the international community.
